Biography

Margaret Armstrong, a talented individual, also had a successful career on the Broadway stage during the 1920s. Her personal life, however, was marked by a tumultuous marriage to Arthur Holzel, who went by the stage name Arthur Vinton, which began on January 2, 1917.

The couple's union was short-lived, as they divorced on January 19, 1925. Armstrong had a daughter named Evelyn, born out of this marriage. The reasons behind their divorce were reportedly due to the challenges they faced in finding roles in the same town together, as well as Holzel's infidelity.

In a shocking turn of events, it was revealed that Holzel had been living with another woman, whom he would later marry. This revelation likely contributed to the demise of his marriage to Armstrong. Despite the difficulties she faced in her personal life, Armstrong's career on the Broadway stage continued to flourish during this period.
