Marcus Nel-Jamal Hamm is a multi-talented individual with a background in filmmaking, acting, producing, writing, and directing. Born in Washington D.C., Marcus began his academic journey by graduating high school at the age of 16. He then pursued higher education, enrolling in Columbia College to study the Business of the Arts. Additionally, he attended Hampton University and The University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree and discovered his passion for theatre.
Before transitioning to the entertainment industry, Marcus Nel-Jamal Hamm gained experience in the world of Professional Wrestling, performing under the moniker Marcus Jordan. He worked independently and nationally, competing against legends such as Rocky Johnson and Rikishi, and held multiple titles as a main event performer.
Marcus later shifted his focus towards acting and quickly gained momentum, landing a feature role in two episodes of HBO's "The Wire" as Officer Marcus. He has since worked consistently in television, theatre, and commercials, and has also trained in stunt fighting for film and television.
As a producer, writer, and director, Marcus Nel-Jamal Hamm has successfully created several projects under his production company, Urban Renaissance Entertainment. His cinematic fan films, including "The Black League of Superheroes," "Triggered," and "Triggered 2.0," have received international acclaim and awards.
Marcus co-starred, co-produced, and wrote for the award-winning thriller "Heaven's Revenge" in 2022, which also starred Ernest Harden Jr. of "The Jefferson's" and "White Men Can't Jump."
