Person Biography:

Marco Weber, a German-born filmmaker, began his career in 1992 at German broadcaster RTL. He gained critical acclaim with his documentary "Annie's Shooting" about renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. His passion for cinema led him to Los Angeles at the age of 25, where he produced his first feature film "Don't Do It" in 1994, starring Heather Graham and David Arquette.

Weber co-produced the sci-fi thriller "The Thirteenth Floor" with Roland Emmerich in 1997. In 1998, he founded his production company Atlantic Streamline, producing films like "You Are Dead" and "All the Queens Men." His biggest success came with the black comedy "Igby Goes Down" in 2002, which earned him Golden Globe and Independent Spirit Award nominations.

In 2006, Weber acquired a majority stake in German distributor Senator Entertainment AG and became its Chief Creative Officer. He oversaw the acquisition and theatrical release of films like "Pan's Labyrinth" and "The Reader." Weber remained active as a producer, financing and producing films like "Fireflies in the Garden" and "The Informers."

In 2009, he produced the thriller "Unthinkable" and served as an executive producer on Antoine Fuqua's "Brooklyn's Finest." In 2012, Weber transitioned into writing and directing with his debut film "California Scheming." He entered into a 15-picture distribution deal with Cinedigm Entertainment in 2014, producing and acquiring genre-centric films.

Weber also created and co-wrote the series pilot "Children of the Machine," which will be distributed through BitTorrent. He lives with his wife and four children in Malibu, California.
