Marco was born in 1969 in Berlin, Germany, and grew up as the youngest of three brothers in his hometown. His journey in the acting world began unexpectedly when he was cast as the lead in the award-winning feature film "Europa Europa" in 1989. The same year, he played a disabled boy in the German TV play "Hurenglück".
After taking acting classes in Berlin and Paris, Marco landed the title role in the French-American co-production "Foreign Student" in 1994. He then made the move to Los Angeles, where he appeared in several films, including "Immortal Beloved" alongside Gary Oldman, "The Island of Dr. Moreau" with Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer, and "Urban Legends: Final Cut".
In Germany, Marco was seen in a range of TV features, such as "008 - Agent wider Willen", "Die Cleveren", "Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei", "Wolffs Revier", "Tatort", "A Case for Two", and others. On stage, he performed as Romeo in "Romeo and Juliette" and as Constantin in "The Seagull".
In 1997, Marco began taking director's classes at the University of California and subsequently enrolled in studies of photography. As an actor, his most recent performance was in "Luther" in 2003.
In his free time, Marco is an enthusiastic scuba diver and enjoys playing the piano. He has recently taken up playing the guitar and practicing aikido.
