Biography

Marco Filiberti, a multifaceted artist, was born in Milan but has made Tuscany his adoptive home.

As a playwright, theatre and film director, actor, essayist, and fiction writer, his work has been showcased in international festivals such as Berlin, Los Angeles, and Venice.

His films, including Adored: Diary of a Porn Star (2003),David's Birthday (2009),and Cain (2014),have garnered significant attention.

A volume of essays, Il Mélo Ritrovato (De Luca Editori D'Arte, 2009),explores his work as a film director.

In 2012, Filiberti's focus shifted towards theatre direction, with a particular emphasis on the dissolution of archetypes in modernity.

He founded Le Vie del Teatro in Terra di Siena in 2013, a project aimed at requalifying art through his vision of a "dramaturgy of ruinism".

The trilogy Il Pianto delle Muse (Conversation Pieces - Byron's Ruins - Il crepuscolo di Arcadia) was praised as a "true artistic event of total theatre" (Il Sole 24 ore) and published by Titivillus.

In 2017, Filiberti presented Intorno a Don Carlos: prove d'autenticità, based on Schiller, and a new volume was published by Titivillus.

The same year, he began working on a project dedicated to Parsifal and presented a new version of Conversation Pieces at the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte di Montepulciano (2018).

In 2020, Filiberti completed his new work, Parsifal, a film that showcases his unique artistic vision.
