Marc Sedaka

Marc Sedaka's academic journey began with an undergraduate degree from Cornell University, laying the foundation for his future success. He then pursued a graduate degree from the esteemed Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he majored in directing and honed his craft. The culmination of his graduate studies was a thesis film, The World Against Jase, which garnered widespread acclaim and numerous awards, including an Emmy Award for Best Short Film. This early success propelled Marc into the spotlight, and within a year of graduation, he had sold feature screenplays to both Paramount and Disney, solidifying his reputation as a talented and prolific screenwriter. As his career continued to flourish, Marc went on to earn a second Masters Degree in Editing from the American Film Institute, a prestigious institution renowned for its rigorous academic programs. This additional education further enhanced Marc's skills, making him an in-demand film editor with a keen sense of storytelling and script analysis. His expertise in these areas proved to be a rare and valuable commodity in the industry, earning him a reputation as a highly sought-after professional. On a personal note, Marc is married with three children and also dedicates his time to teaching screenwriting at UCLA and Columbia College, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of aspiring filmmakers.
