Marc Menet is a renowned freelance cinematographer, a respected member of the International Cinematographers Guild, and a Chicago-based professional with a thriving career spanning over fifteen years.
In his formative years, Marc was driven by a passion for physics and engineering, and he spent his youth indulging in photography and cinephilia. As he grew older, cinematography emerged as a way to harmoniously integrate these diverse interests into a fulfilling and creative career.
Marc's academic pursuits took him to Columbia College, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in film/video production, with a concentration in cinematography. He further honed his skills by pursuing graduate work at DePaul University's prestigious Digital Cinema Program.
Throughout his professional journey, Marc has consistently worked as a cinematographer and camera operator in the film and television industries, accumulating an impressive portfolio that has appeared on a wide range of networks, including Showtime, National Geographic, History Channel, Weather Channel, Animal Planet, VH1, NBC, Fox, Fox Sports, PBS, BET, Discovery, and more.
Marc's work has also been showcased at numerous film festivals, with over a hundred appearances under his belt. His feature films have been distributed globally, and his commercial work has been commissioned by several Fortune 500 companies. Moreover, Marc has lent his expertise to more than fifty music videos, which have collectively garnered millions of views.
As a dedicated educator, Marc has taught a range of courses at both Columbia College and DePaul University, including production, cinematography, editing, visual design, and VFX.
