Marc Gruss, a talented individual, was born and raised in the southern Ruhr area, where his fascination with film and theatre began to take shape at a young age. Initially, he worked behind the scenes, honing his skills as a director and stagehand, but eventually, his passion for acting and performing led him to step into the spotlight.
Following private acting training, Gruss further refined his craft at the prestigious Stella Adler Actors Studio in Los Angeles from 2007 to 2009. During this period, he also had the opportunity to enhance his skills in directing and dramaturgy through various advanced trainings. In addition, he has continued to participate in numerous workshops and masterclasses to constantly develop his abilities, under the guidance of renowned professionals such as Bernard Hiller and Larry Moss.
Gruss has had the privilege of performing at various theatres in Germany, showcasing his impressive range as an actor. His work extends beyond the stage, as he has also appeared in film and television productions. One notable role was that of the teacher in the award-winning youth film "Das geheime Zimmer (The Secret Room)".
Aside from his work as an actor and director, Gruss holds a teaching position at the Ruhrakademie in Schwerte, Germany, where he lectures on "Directing Actors", "Techniques of the Director", and "chamber drama". He also regularly serves as a set-coach for acting and directing in film productions.
Furthermore, Gruss is the founder and head of the acting training group "The German U.S. Acting Group", which aims to prepare participating actors for the international market.
