Biography

Malisa Longo's artistic journey began in her native city of Venice, where she was introduced to the world of art at a young age, taking her first steps as a poet and painter. The city was undergoing a cultural upheaval in 1968, focusing on the development of the Academy and the Biennale, which greatly influenced her artistic expression.

Inspired by the magic of the lagoon, Malisa's art is characterized by a whirlwind of colors, full of lights and shadows, but also eruptions of brightness. She sought new ideas and arrived in Rome, where she became captivated by the world of movies. Here, she began a long journey as an actress, playing in over 70 films alongside renowned actors such as Ben Gazzara, Arthur Kennedy, Bruce Lee, and Christopher Mitchum.

Some of these films, which are considered cult classics of international cinema, were directed by esteemed filmmakers like Federico Fellini, Terence Young, and Tinto Brass. Malisa's rewarding career has also expressed itself through a literary vein, as she has distinguished herself as a writer, screenwriter, and journalist.

Among her most acclaimed works are the novel "Just as I am" (prelude by Tinto Brass),the book of poems "Il cantico del corpo", and the book and interviews collection, "Aggiungi un seggio al tavola. Politica e curiosità culinarie" (Graus),which was a finalist for the award "Minori on the Amalfi Coast. Her novel "Vita di Elisa" (Mondadori) and book of poems "Appunti dell'anima" (Lietocolle) have also received critical acclaim, with the latter winning the literary prize "Spoleto Art Festival Expo" in September 2014.

Despite her busy artistic commitments, Malisa Longo has never abandoned her first love for painting. Her passion for the art form has only grown stronger over time, and she has showcased her work in several painting exhibitions, earning numerous awards.
