Maleek Rae, a multifaceted artist who identifies as they/them, hails from the vibrant Eastside of Detroit, Michigan, where they were born and raised.
Following their graduation from Cass Technical High School, Maleek pursued their passion for the dramatic arts at the prestigious SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory in New York, where they honed their craft and developed a strong foundation in acting.
Throughout their illustrious career, Maleek has had the privilege of working in a diverse range of creative fields, including television, film, theatre, motion capture, performance art, and movement-based performance.
Their impressive performance credits include notable roles in popular TV shows such as Law&Order: Organized Crime and East New York, as well as a national commercial for the renowned Buffalo Wild Wings.
In addition, Maleek has been featured in Terence Nance's critically acclaimed performance art piece, SWARM, at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia.
As a testament to their dedication and perseverance, Maleek lives by the mantra "Work hard and Pray harder," a philosophy that has undoubtedly guided them throughout their journey as a creative force in the entertainment industry.
