MAJED EL SHAFIE's life journey began in Egypt, where he was born into a distinguished family of esteemed judges and lawyers, steeped in the traditions and values of the Muslim faith. However, his life took a dramatic turn when he underwent a profound spiritual transformation, embracing Christianity and thereby severing ties with his family and community.
This momentous decision did not go unnoticed, and El Shafie soon found himself facing the harsh realities of persecution. Subjected to unimaginable torture, he was subsequently sentenced to death, a fate that hung precariously in the balance. It was amidst this darkness that El Shafie discovered his true calling, a sense of purpose that would propel him to dedicate his life to the cause of religious freedom.
As a result, he founded One Free World International, a human rights organization committed to advocating on behalf of those who, like him, have been marginalized and oppressed due to their faith. Through his tireless efforts, El Shafie has become a thorn in the side of those who would seek to suppress the rights of others, continually challenging governments and spiritual leaders to uphold the fundamental human right to religious freedom.
Today, El Shafie resides in Canada, where he continues to be a vocal advocate for the persecuted, using his platform to bring attention to the plight of those who are suffering at the hands of tyranny and oppression. Despite the many challenges he has faced, El Shafie remains unwavering in his commitment to his cause, a beacon of hope for those who are struggling to find their voice in a world that often seems hostile and unforgiving.
