Biography

Majandra Delfino, a talented actress and musician, rose to fame with her iconic role as Maria DeLuca on the popular TV series Roswell. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, to a Cuban mother and Venezuelan father, Majandra spent her early years between Caracas and Miami before moving to Los Angeles in her late teens.

At just four years old, Majandra's parents discovered her exceptional musical abilities, and she began studying classical piano and dancing with the Miami Ballet. Despite her parents' initial focus on academics, Majandra's passion for music and performance led her to sneak out of the house to audition for an all-girls pop group, China Dolls, with her best friend Alana Chirino. The group gained small success, and Majandra was encouraged to pursue an acting career, leading her to sneak out of the house again to audition for The Baby-Sitters Club.

Majandra's parents initially disapproved of her acting aspirations, giving her a six-month deadline to succeed. However, she quickly landed roles in MGM's Zeus & Roxanne and NBC's The Tony Danza Show, and her breakout success on Roswell cemented her status as a fan-magazine favorite.

Throughout her career, Majandra has demonstrated her versatility, starring in a range of projects, including Steven Soderbergh's Traffic, for which she won an Alma Award, and critically acclaimed dramas like Don't Come Knocking. She has also released two self-produced albums, The Sicks and TARTE, showcasing her musical talents.

Majandra has continued to work in television, starring in comedies like State of Georgia, The Office spin-off The Farm, and CBS' Friends with Better Lives. She is currently under a development deal for two self-scribed shows and is married to actor David Walton, with whom she has two small children.

In her next project, Band-Aid, Majandra will be seen in the directorial debut of Zoe Lister-Jones, a Sundance contender. Rumors of a third album continue to circulate, but no concrete word has been given by Majandra or her representation.
