Maila, the youngest daughter, and her older sister, spent the early years of their childhood in Manila, Philippines, where Maila attended all private schools from elementary to college. She graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts and received numerous awards, including Best Actress.
