The young refugee's formative years were spent in the gritty, urban environments of San Francisco and Oakland, California, before eventually finding a sense of stability in Union City, where he began to flourish in high school. Mahari discovered an outlet for his energies and talents in the world of theater, excelling as a state champion and national qualifier in Forensics Speech & Debate.
As he entered adulthood, Mahari's academic pursuits took him to the University of Arizona, with plans to continue his education at the University of Michigan, where he intended to study law. However, as he delved deeper into his studies, Mahari began to question his motivations, ultimately recognizing that he was driven by external expectations rather than a genuine passion for the field. This realization prompted a drastic change of course, as Mahari packed his bags and headed to Los Angeles, where he would pursue a path that aligned more closely with his true calling.
