Mack B. was born on Long Island, New York, and grew up with a triple threat of interests: acting, sports, and music. As a child, he knew that one or all of these passions would be his calling in life. In high school, he developed a strong interest in theater, speech, and drama, while also playing sports. However, a severe ankle injury during his junior year put an end to his athletic aspirations, leading him to focus on music and acting.
At the age of 12, Mack B. and his mother, along with his twin sister, left the East Coast and headed west to Colorado. He spent time between the Rocky Mountains of Denver and the beaches of California before eventually relocating permanently to the west coast in the summer of 1999. Once in California, Mack B. began to break into the entertainment industry, gaining exposure and building relationships that would eventually lead to his first big break.
This breakthrough came in the form of a co-starring role on the FX series "The Shield," where he played the character "Mo." He then landed a role in the critically acclaimed film "S.W.A.T.," and a recurring role on the CBS television series "Dr. Vegas," starring opposite Rob Lowe as the character Bruce.
Since then, Mack B. has appeared on Comedy Central's "The Chocolate News," worked with Sylvester Stallone on the Russian Ice Vodka campaign, and has had roles on Discovery Channel, Nickelodeon's "i-Carly," and the critically acclaimed television drama "Southland," opposite Regina King.
Despite his success, Mack B. remains humble and continues to work hard, reaching for the stars. He believes that the future is bright and that it is essential to help build and develop the youth worldwide, as they are the future. In his free time, Mack B. is involved in community and charity work, including his affiliation with DonorsChoose.org, which allows individuals to directly assist youth in their schools.
He also frequently visits the Boyle Heights Youth Technology Center and participates in Toy and Turkey Drives at the center to assist families and children in need who may not have the resources.
