Biography

M. Blair Breard is a seasoned Producer with a remarkable 25-year tenure in the film and television industry, boasting an impressive array of accolades and nominations. Her impressive résumé includes six Primetime Emmy nominations, five Director's Guild Award nominations, two Producer's Guild Award nominations, two American Film Institute Award nominations, three Peabody Award nominations, and two Gotham Award nominations.

Breard's illustrious career began in independent filmmaking with John Sayles' critically acclaimed film, Passion Fish. She has since worked on and produced numerous critically acclaimed films, including I Shot Andy Warhol, written and directed by Mary Harron, and nominated for Sundance and Independent Spirit awards; Margaret, written and directed by Kenneth Lonergan; and Margot at the Wedding, written and directed by Noah Baumbach, and nominated for Independent Spirit and Gotham awards.

In addition to her film work, Breard has also served as Executive Producer for The Drop, directed by Academy Award nominee Michael Roskam, and The Half of It, for Netflix, with Writer/Director Alice Wu, which won the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival. Her impressive television credits include guiding groundbreaking concepts into award-winning shows, such as Louie, Baskets, Better Things, Horace and Pete, and One Mississippi.

Breard was also the Executive Producer on Scenes From a Marriage, with Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain, for HBO. She Executive Produced While You Were Breeding, written and created by Emmy-nominated writer Kristin Newman. Furthermore, Breard Executive Produced Savant, starring Jessica Chastain, directed by Matthew Heineman and Rachel Morrison, and created by Melissa James Gibson, for Fifth Season and Apple TV.
