Lynne Elaine Margulies, a multifaceted individual, was born on February 28, 1957, in the vibrant city of San Fernando, California. As the younger sister of the illustrious Johnny Legend, a talented actor, wrestling manager, rockabilly singer, and trash film historian, Lynne's early life was undoubtedly influenced by the creative and entrepreneurial spirit of her brother.
Lynne's professional journey began with a notable role as Sarah, a nuclear war holocaust survivor, in the gritty science fiction movie "The Aftermath". This experience was followed by a stint in editing and producing TV commercials in the early 1980s, which honed her skills in the creative and commercial realms.
Margulies' life took an unexpected turn when she met the legendary avant-garde comic Andy Kaufman while working on the offbeat comedy feature "My Breakfast with Blassie". The two remained in a romantic relationship until Kaufman's untimely death from lung cancer at the age of 35 on May 16, 1984. In the years that followed, Lynne played a significant role in celebrating Kaufman's life and work, serving as a creative consultant for the Kaufman bio film "Man on the Moon" and co-directing two documentaries, "I'm from Hollywood" and "Andy Kaufman's Really Big Show".
In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Lynne is a talented artist, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and drawing from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
