Biography

Luke trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. His extensive filmography includes a wide range of critically acclaimed and commercially successful projects. Some of his notable film credits include "A Street Cat Named Bob", which won the Best British Film Award at the National Film Awards in 2017, and "Ethel and Ernest", a biographical drama about the lives of Raymond Briggs' parents. He has also worked on films such as "Unbroken", "The Rise", "Cheerful Weather for the Wedding", "For the First Time", and "Attack the Block", among many others.

In addition to his film work, Luke has a strong background in theatre. He has performed in a variety of productions, including "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" at the Harold Pinter Theatre, where he won the Best Actor Award at the Olivier Awards in 2013. He was also nominated for the Best Actor in a Play Award at the Whatsonstage.com Awards in 2013 for his performance in "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" at the National Theatre. Other notable theatre credits include "Over There" at the Royal Court Theatre, "Cradle Me" at the Finborough Theatre, "Piranha Heights" at the Soho Theatre, "War Horse" at the National Theatre, and "Saint Joan" at the National Theatre.
