Sabis, a multifaceted individual, embarked on his life's journey in Brooklyn, New York, before relocating to Queens, New York, where he spent his formative years.
Sabis's academic pursuits led him to St. John's University, where he earned a degree in computer science, subsequently securing his first job in the field. However, his creative inclinations soon took center stage as he pursued a passion for rock music, co-founding the band The Take. The group's performances at renowned venues such as The Bitter End, CBGBs, and Kenny's Castaways cemented their reputation in the music scene.
Sabis's foray into the world of theater saw him appear in various Off-Off-Broadway productions in New York, including his affiliation with Ken Terrell's esteemed Curan Repertory Company.
In a bid to diversify his creative outlets, Sabis enrolled in the film program at Los Angeles City College, where he made his directorial debut with the film Missing Child. The film, which he also acted in and composed the score for, received widespread acclaim, being screened at esteemed festivals such as the 2014 Boston International Film Festival, the Dances With Films festival in Hollywood, California, and the Hawaii Big Island Film Festival.
Sabis's cinematic endeavors continued to flourish, as his short film Ghost Tenant premiered in the short film section at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in May 2015.
