Luke Ford, the youngest son of Seventh Day Adventist evangelist Dr. Desmond Ford, relocated with his parents to California in 1977. He completed his secondary education at Placer High School in Auburn, California, in June 1984.
Prior to his graduation, Luke began his career in the news department of KAHI/KHYL radio in Sacramento, a role he held from 1982 to 1987. However, his life took a dramatic turn in 1988 when he was struck down by Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, confining him to his bed for a period of six years.
During his recovery, Luke found solace in his work as the Placer County coordinator for Parents For Education Choice, a school vouchers initiative, in 1992. This same year, he underwent a significant transformation, converting to Judaism.
Following his recovery, Luke attempted to pursue a career in acting, but unfortunately, he failed to gain substantial traction. In 1995, he decided to redirect his energy towards writing and published his book "A History of X: 100 Years of Sex in Film" in June 1999. The book's research led to the development of a popular website, www.lukeford.com, which earned him the nickname "the Matt Drudge of porn."
However, Luke's involvement in the adult entertainment industry eventually led to tension with his religious community. In August 2001, he abandoned his writing on the subject and sold his website, lukeford.com. Concurrently, he launched a new project focused on movie and television producers, which can be found on his website www.lukeisback.com.
Furthermore, Luke is also working on an unauthorized biography of Dennis Prager, which is being documented on a dedicated website.
