Lucy Boynton, born on January 17, 1994, is a talented American-English actress who has made a name for herself in the film industry.
Born in New York City, Lucy grew up in London, the daughter of Graham Boynton, the Group Travel Editor of the Telegraph Media Group, and Adriaane Pielou, a travel writer. She has an older sister, Emma Louise Boynton, and attended Blackheath High School and James Allen's Girls' School.
Lucy's first professional role was as the young Beatrix Potter in the 2006 film Miss Potter, a British-American production. She was just 12 years old when she landed the part and has said that the first day of filming was the "best day of [her] life."
In 2007, Lucy was nominated for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actress for her role in Miss Potter. The same year, she played Posy Fossil, one of the main characters in the BBC film Ballet Shoes. Although she did not dance in the film, a body double was used for her character's dancing scenes.
