Noted thespian and fashion designer Loris has had a diverse and illustrious career, with appearances in various Broadway productions, including the 1983 staging of "The Corn is Green", opposite esteemed actors Peter Gallagher and Cicely Tyson. He has also made significant contributions to the world of film, featuring in notable movies such as MGM's "Fame" and the television series "We're Fighting Back", alongside Ellen Barkin.
Prior to his foray into the world of fashion, Loris received a comprehensive education in the performing arts, attending New York's High school of Performing Arts, NYU School of the Arts, and Circle in the Square Conservatory, where he had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of renowned instructors David Mamet and Teresa Hayden.
In addition to his theatrical pursuits, Loris has also established himself as a talented jazz and R&B vocalist, releasing records for esteemed labels such as Blue Note/Capitol/EMI Records and touring extensively as a solo artist.
In recent years, Loris has made a significant impact in the high-fashion world, garnering numerous accolades for his work as an award-winning high-fashion designer. He has worked for esteemed European fashion houses, including Versace, Chanel, and Claude Montana, and has created costumes for notable films, such as "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Daughter of God". His designs have also been featured in the productions of Philadelphia's Ballet X.
Loris's impressive résumé includes a 2010 win for the Fashion Group International Rising Star Award for best menswear designer, as well as the debut of his designs on the runways of Milano, Italy, in 2010 and Hong Kong in 2015.
