Lori Silverbush is an accomplished screenwriter and director, renowned for her captivating work in both fiction and non-fiction films. Her productions have garnered widespread recognition, premiering at esteemed festivals such as the Sundance, Toronto, Berlin, and Tribeca Film Festivals.
Silverbush's inaugural fiction feature, On The Outs, made its world debut at the 2004 Toronto International Film Festival, earning two Independent Spirit Award nominations in the process.
In 2005, Silverbush was distinguished as one of Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces of Independent film, a testament to her burgeoning talent in the industry.
Silverbush's first documentary, A Place at the Table, premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and was subsequently released by Magnolia Pictures in March 2013. This powerful film received the International Documentary Association's Pare Lorentz Award for its exceptional filmmaking and dedication to addressing pressing social issues.
