Liz Priestley was born prematurely in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was subsequently adopted by the Priestley family at a young age. She grew up alongside five sisters in Abington, a Philadelphia suburb, where her father, George, worked as an attorney, and her mother, Linda, managed his office.
From a young age, Liz was encouraged to explore her musical talents, and she developed a passion for music and performing, inspired by the classic Hollywood musicals of the 1950s and 1960s. She learned to play the violin and piano, and began to star in school plays at the Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy.
This early experience led to Liz winning a scholarship to study classical opera, which enabled her skills to flourish, and she even considered a career in opera upon graduation. However, despite her parents' encouragement to pursue a music-based career, Liz couldn't shake off her acting bug.
She went on to study Musical Theatre at Ithaca College, and then moved to New York to pursue a career in acting. Liz's acting career took off, and she was soon cast in multiple plays and commercials. As an accomplished stage performer, she has appeared in over twenty-five theatre productions in Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C., showcasing her skills as an actor, vocalist, violinist, pianist, and dancer.
Some of her notable stage roles include playing Panzi Lew McVain in Long Time Since Yesterday with Company of Queens Acting Company in Philadelphia. Liz has also performed as a musician and solo opera performer with the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra, Philadelphia Sinfonia II, and the Academy of Music.
After shifting her focus from stage to screen, Liz signed with a talent manager and quickly landed a small role on her first episodic television show. She soon followed this up with her debut movie role in Concrete Cowboys, starring alongside Idris Elba and Caleb McLaughlin.
In addition to her ongoing film and television pursuits, Liz has also written and produced an original web series, and is a devoted mother to her wonderful daughter.
