Liv Ullmann's paternal lineage boasted a Norwegian engineer with a profession that necessitated international assignments, thereby subjecting her to a childhood marked by geographical displacement, with periods of residence in Tokyo, Canada, New York, and Oslo. It was during the mid-1950s that she first set foot on the stage, and subsequently, in 1957, she made her cinematic debut. However, it was not until she began collaborating with the renowned Swedish director Ingmar Bergman that her career truly reached a pinnacle of success, with notable films including the iconic Persona, released in 1966, The Passion of Anna, which premiered in 1969, and Face to Face, a 1976 release. Notably, Ullmann's filmography extends beyond her collaborations with Bergman, boasting a number of notable films, such as The Abdication, which premiered in 1974, and Dangerous Moves, released in 1984.
