Lisha Wheeler, a talented American actress, hails from the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Her passion for performing began at a tender age, as she took the stage in kindergarten to showcase her skills, impressively reciting the correct spelling of "Mississippi". This early exposure sparked a lifelong love affair with acting, which continued to flourish throughout her elementary and high school years. Notably, she landed the coveted role of Winnie the Pooh in one of her school's productions.
As a student at Duke University, Lisha further honed her acting skills by taking classes and starring in several student productions. Her standout performances included leading roles in Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun" and the student-written play "Switchboard". The Chronicle, Duke's student newspaper, praised her performance in "Switchboard", stating: "Lisha Wheeler, as Lottie, the power-thirsty receptionist, was stellar. Her tone in paging employees, for example, accented by a high-pitched, drawn-out, 'Come to the office, puleeeeze,' had the audience in fits of laughter."
After graduating from Duke University with a degree in accounting, Lisha pursued a career in law, motivated by her admiration for the Perry Mason show. She went on to become a successful corporate attorney, serving as a partner in one of the largest law firms in the country and as Associate General Counsel for Fannie Mae. However, her true passion for acting eventually drew her back to the stage and screen.
In 2015, Lisha made the bold decision to return to her roots in acting. She has since appeared in supporting roles in several independent films and co-starred in TV series such as "Preacher", "NCIS New Orleans", and "Your Worst Nightmare".
