Biography

Born in the vibrant city of Chicago, Lisa Joyce's journey in the world of acting began at the Theater School at DePaul University, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting.

Her impressive early career was marked by a Joseph Jefferson nomination for her captivating performance in Adam Rapp's "Red Light Winter", which premiered at the renowned Steppenwolf Theater Company before transferring off-Broadway and earning a finalist spot for The Pulitzer Prize.

Lisa made her West End/Broadway debut in the critically acclaimed production of "La Bete", starring the talented Mark Rylance and David Hyde Pierce, and later toured nationally alongside the esteemed Cherry Jones in the Tony Award-winning production of "Doubt".

Throughout her illustrious career, Lisa has appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions, including Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's beloved production of "Love, Loss and What I Wore" and Soho Rep.'s "The Ugly One", for which she received a Drama Desk nomination.

Her impressive credits also include performances at The Public, New York Theater Workshop, The Signature, Classic Stage Company, Rattlestick, Transport Group, StageFARM, Williamstown, and The Studio Theater in D.C., where she received a Helen Hayes Award for her powerful portrayal in "Blackbird".

Lisa is a proud member of the esteemed LAByrinth Theater Company, a testament to her dedication to her craft and her commitment to the world of theater.
