Lisa Hartman is an American actress and singer born in Houston, Texas. She gained recognition for her role as Tabitha Stephens in the short-lived fantasy sitcom "Tabitha" from 1977 to 1978. The series was a sequel to the popular sitcom "Bewitched" and followed Tabitha, a young witch, as she navigated her career and supernatural events.
In addition to her acting career, Hartman started a professional singing career in 1976 with the release of her debut album "Lisa Hartman". She released several studio albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including "Hold On" (1979),"Letterock" (1983),and "Til My Heart Stops" (1987). Although her albums were not commercially successful, her single "If Love Must Go" (1982) gained popularity due to its use in television shows.
Hartman also appeared in the slasher film Deadly Blessing (1981),where she played the role of Faith Stohler, a character motivated by an unrequited love for her neighbor. The film was directed by Wes Craven and has since developed a cult following among horror fans.
In 1982, Hartman joined the cast of the soap opera "Knots Landing", where she played the role of Ciji Dunne, a professional singer. Her character was murdered off-screen, leading to a murder mystery storyline that lasted several seasons. Hartman's departure from the series was met with backlash from viewers, but she later returned as the character Cathy Geary, who impersonated the deceased Ciji.
Hartman appeared in several other films and television shows throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including the sex comedy Where the Boys Are (1984),the drama film Roses Are for the Rich (1987),and the short-lived soap opera 2000 Malibu Road (1992). She also appeared in several television films and made guest appearances on various television shows.
In 1999, Hartman had a career comeback with the duet "When I Said I Do" (1999),which she sang with her husband Clint Black. The song reached the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and peaked at number 31 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
In 2020, Hartman and Clint Black appeared on the fourth season of The Masked Singer (2019) as the duet competitors "Snow Owls". They competed for seven episodes before being eliminated from the competition.
