Limor Shopen's life journey began in Israel, where she spent her formative years before embarking on a two-year stint in the Israeli Defense Force. Following her military service, Shopen ventured into the world of short films, gaining valuable experience and laying the groundwork for her future endeavors. In 1998, she made the bold decision to relocate to the United States, ultimately making New York City her home.
Shopen's passion for acting led her to enroll at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, where she had the opportunity to hone her craft alongside fellow aspiring thespians. It was during her time at the institute that Shopen caught the attention of her classmate, Miguel Coyula, who would go on to offer her the role of Monica Zaister in the 2004 film Red Cockroaches.
