Lia embarked on her career in the vibrant city of New York, where she had the privilege of taking the stage at some of the renowned downtown theatre institutions, often in exchange for a metro-card and a delectable cheese plate.
It was during this time that she began crafting plays, gradually transitioning to writing short films, and ultimately discovering her sweet spot in the realm of half-hour comedies.
Subsequently, Lia made the move to Los Angeles, where her television scripts have been recognized as finalists for the esteemed CBS Writer's Mentorship Program, Scriptapalooza, and twice for the prestigious Austin Film Festival.
In addition to her television writing endeavors, Lia collaborates with her husband, director Paul Willis, on writing and producing videos for companies of varying sizes.
When Lia is not indulging in her passion for writing, she devotes herself to an endless array of snack preparation for her three young children.
