As she grew older, Li Jun's family made the decision to relocate once more, this time to the bustling metropolis of New York City, a hub of artistic expression and opportunity. It was in this city that she would attend the prestigious Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where she initially enrolled as a Dance major. However, it was during her time at this esteemed institution that Li Jun discovered a newfound passion, one that would eventually guide her towards a career in acting.
With her newfound passion in tow, Li Jun made the decision to switch her major to acting in college, a choice that would prove to be a pivotal moment in her life. She began her career in musical theatre, taking on a wide range of roles in various plays and musicals. Her talent and dedication did not go unnoticed, as she was soon given the opportunity to originate the role of Liat in the Tony-award winning Broadway revival of South Pacific.
