Biography

Sir Lew Grade, a renowned English entertainment impresario, was born Louis Winogradsky on December 25, 1906, in Tokmak, Ukraine, to Jewish parents Olga and Isaac Winogradsky, who emigrated to England in 1912 to escape the pogroms.
