Leopold St-Pierre is a renowned writer with over 25 years of experience in television, film, and theater. He has worked on numerous projects for prominent companies such as Warner Bros., Fox, ABC, Disney, and BBC.
In addition to his extensive television credits, which include over 1,200 hours of produced content, St-Pierre has written 32 feature screenplays. Some of his notable works include "Platinum" (1997),"The Modern Man" (also director),"The Lost World" (1998),"The Mystery of the Red-Headed Woman", and "In the Midnight Hour".
St-Pierre has received numerous awards and nominations for his work, including six Telefilm Canada Screenwriting awards and an equal number of Astral Media / Harold Greenberg Fund Screenwriting grants. His production company, Media Vérité Films, has been nominated for several prestigious awards, including three BAFTA Awards, two Golden Pandas, and four Academy Awards.
In addition to his screenwriting work, St-Pierre has written and produced several plays, including "Two Piranhas", "The Mask of Sanity", and "The Cat and the Fiddle". His play "Two Piranhas" won three top prizes, including Infinitytheatre's Best Play award in 2018.
St-Pierre has also written the screenplay for "The Gospel of Judas", based on the recently-discovered 3rd century manuscript published by National Geographic. His other projects in development include "One Love", "1,001 Elvises", and "City of Saints", among others.
As a 'cript doctor', St-Pierre has worked extensively for HBO, Promark, Lionsgate, and Showtime. He holds an MA in Film from McGill University and has taught screenwriting at Vanier College and University of Toronto. His noir novel, "The Girl with the Powder-Blue Eyes", is being published by Jade Dragon Press.
