Leonardo Cecchi is a rising star in the entertainment industry, having made a name for himself through his impressive performances in film, television, and theater. Born in Minneapolis to an Iowan mother and an Italian father, Cecchi was exposed to both cultures from a young age, which would later influence his passion for performance.
He discovered his love for acting at a performing arts high school in Turin, Italy, where he trained in stage acting, diction, jazz dance, and musical theater. His talent was soon recognized by a Disney casting director, leading to a four-season stint on the Disney Channel's Alex & Co. Cecchi also appeared in two Disney films, one of which earned him a Best Original Song nomination, and co-authored two successful books.
In 2017, Cecchi relocated to Los Angeles, where he quickly secured representation and began training at The Chubbuck Acting Studio. He also pursued chemistry studies at Santa Monica College, earning a 4.0 GPA and gaining admission to UCLA, before choosing to focus on his acting career.
To further hone his craft, Cecchi is currently enrolled in the prestigious two-year program at the Sanford Meisner Center, having completed his first year in early 2025. His extensive body of work includes six feature films, four TV series, including Ryan Murphy's American Horror Stories, and three theatrical productions, including a leading role in the Italian tour of the musical Peter Pan.
In addition to his acting work, Cecchi has also written, directed, and starred in an original short film, Louie's Emotions, in which he portrayed seven distinct characters. This performance earned him two nominations and a Best Actor win at the LA Top Shorts Film Festival.
Cecchi is not only a talented actor but also a skilled producer and director, having worked on several short films using RED cinema cameras. His latest project, The Echo Project, showcases his passion for storytelling on both sides of the camera.
With his growing body of work, Cecchi is emerging as a standout talent in the industry, known for his versatility, charisma, and dedication to his craft.
