Biography

Lee Ving, whose birth name is Lee James Jude Capallero, came into this world on April 10, 1950, in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is undoubtedly most renowned for his role as the charismatic frontman of the groundbreaking Los Angeles hardcore punk band Fear, whose influence on the genre is still widely acknowledged today. In addition to his musical endeavors, Ving has also made notable appearances in several films, including the iconic 1983 movie Flashdance, the action-packed Streets Of Fire from 1984, and the cult classic Clue, which was released in 1985. Furthermore, he was one of the principal subjects featured in the influential punk music documentary The Decline Of Western Civilization, which was released in 1981 and has since become a staple of the punk rock canon.
