Lee Lorenzo Lynch, born in 1980, has been an avid filmmaker since the tender age of 13. His passion for the craft led him to pursue higher education, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from the prestigious California Institute of the Arts.
In addition to his undergraduate degree, Lynch further honed his skills by acquiring a Master of Fine Arts in Fine Art from the University of Southern California, a testament to his unwavering dedication to his craft.
Throughout his illustrious career, Lynch's films have garnered international recognition, showcasing at esteemed festivals such as FIDMarseille, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Full Frame, The Viennale, Tribeca, and the prestigious Sundance Film Festival.
His sophomore feature-length film, The Murder of Hi Good, is a thought-provoking true crime revisionist acid-western set against the backdrop of the California Indian Wars in Northern California circa 1870.
Lynch's impressive resume also includes a stint as the Director of the Film Program at California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA) from 2008 to 2016, where he had the opportunity to mentor and inspire the next generation of filmmakers.
Today, Lynch splits his time between Reykjavik and Los Angeles, where he resides with his son and his wife, Thorbjorg Jonsdottir, a fellow filmmaker, sharing his life with a creative partner who understands the demands and rewards of the filmmaking profession.
