Andrew Steven Harmon, later known as Lee Harmon, was born on November 13th, 1976, in Quantico, Virginia, to parents Dan and Margie, who were both serving in the United States Marine Corps at the time.
Not long after his birth, Lee's parents completed their term of service in the military and relocated to his father's hometown of Portsmouth, Virginia.
Lee was raised by his loving father, along with the help of his paternal grandparents, Lee and Mae Harmon. This trio had a profound influence on Lee's life, teaching him the values of a southern gentleman, including patriotism, honor, honesty, manners, and respect for his elders.
Upon graduating from Churchland High School in 1996, Lee enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served his country as a soldier during the late 1990s. After completing his military service, Lee worked in the construction field for over a decade before finding a way to pursue his childhood dream of acting in 2011.
This opportunity arose by chance when Lee answered an ad on Craigslist. As his passion for acting grew, he continued to perform in small local productions and attended school at night to study the art of acting.
In October 2013, Lee made the bold decision to move to Los Angeles to pursue a legitimate career in the entertainment industry. It wasn't long before he landed his first role in the feature film Chronic alongside Tim Roth, which earned him the opportunity to become a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
In June 2015, Lee joined SAG/AFTRA and, upon registering with the union, was asked to choose his professional name. As he stood there considering his response, Lee remembered his grandfather, who had passed away just before he moved to Los Angeles. Lee then began to reflect on the memories and encouragement his grandfather had given him to chase his dreams and pursue acting.
After a brief moment, a heartfelt smile began to show, and Lee replied, "Lee Harmon," in honor of his grandfather's memory.
