Leahdawn Helena, a multifaceted individual, was born and nurtured on the western coast of the island, historically referred to as Newfoundland. Her cultural identity is deeply rooted in her mixed L'nu (Mi'kmaw) and French settler heritage, with family ties extending back to the Bay St. George region of Newfoundland.
Educationally, Leahdawn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociocultural studies and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre from Memorial University of Newfoundland's Grenfell Campus.
Notably, her film script, Ruthless, garnered recognition by winning the NL Arts and Letters award in 2020 in the senior dramatic script category.
Leahdawn currently resides in St. John's with her husband Chris, their canine companion Chevy, and their feline friend Monty. This publication marks her debut as a published author.
