Leah Ficarola, a native of southern California, embarked on a journey that would take her from the world of classical ballet to the vibrant stages of burlesque and cabaret. Her early training with the San Francisco Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet school laid the foundation for her future success. Leah soon made the move to New York City, where she danced with the esteemed Eliot Feld's Ballet Tech, a contemporary ballet company.
The allure of Broadway proved too great to resist, and Leah was soon cast in the national tour of Saturday Night Fever, performing as one of the featured dance couples. Following her successful run in the iconic musical, Leah made the leap to Los Angeles, where she was cast in the "edgy" version of LA Opera's Tanhueser.
However, it was her encounter with "The Man in the Black Hat," Toledo Diamond, that marked a turning point in her career. Through her work with the Toledo Show, Leah discovered a newfound passion for burlesque and cabaret, and her love for these art forms has only grown stronger with time.
Since then, Leah has danced with numerous burlesque and cabaret shows throughout Los Angeles, as well as shared the stage with live rock bands. Her impressive resume boasts performances with notable acts such as Van Halen, for their press release show for their "Different Kind of Truth" tour, and The Used, for their "Hands and Faces" music video.
Leah's dedication to her craft has also led her to establish the Los Angeles-based neo burlesque troupe, the Bella-Donnas, which she founded and serves as the artistic director. Through her tireless efforts, Leah has become a respected figure in the world of burlesque and cabaret, and her name is synonymous with excellence and passion.
