Notably, she played numerous leading roles alongside the renowned actor Douglas Fairbanks within the esteemed William F. Brady troupe. This impressive showcase of her talents caught the attention of Vitagraph, which subsequently signed her to a contract. Baird's peak years in film spanned from 1916 to 1918, during which time she was a highly sought-after and extremely popular player. However, by 1925, her career had begun to wane, and she ultimately decided to retire from the spotlight to focus on scriptwriting.
