Huddie William Ledbetter, professionally known as Leadbelly, was a renowned American musician, singer-songwriter, and composer, born on January 29, 1885, in the southern state of Louisiana, United States of America.
Throughout his illustrious career, Leadbelly left an indelible mark on the music industry, with his compositions featured in a variety of films, including "The Losers" (2010),"Spenser Confidential" (2020),and "The Hitman's Bodyguard" (2017),among many others.
Leadbelly's personal life was marked by two significant relationships, first with Martha Promise, and later with Aletha Henderson, whom he married.
Tragically, Leadbelly's life was cut short when he passed away on December 6, 1949, in the bustling metropolis of New York City, New York, United States of America.
