Lawrence William Alexander Murphy, a individual with a unique blend of Irish, Flemish, and English ancestry, made the significant move to Gold Coast, Queensland from Switzerland at the tender age of five.
As he grew older, Lawrence's path took a turn, leading him to Western Australia at the age of 19. He enrolled at the University of Western Australia, pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering with a major in Civil Engineering. Upon graduating, he began his career as a Graduate Project Engineer, but his passion for performance and storytelling eventually took center stage.
Recognizing his true calling, Lawrence made the bold decision to leave his engineering role behind and embark on a journey into the world of acting. He secured an agent and began honing his skills at The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Performing Arts majoring in Performance Making.
In 2019, Lawrence co-founded Lazy Films, a production company that brings compelling stories to life, alongside his close friend and fellow student Oscar Millar. In a remarkably short period of time, Lawrence has amassed an impressive body of work, having been involved in over 50 projects spanning film, theatre, commercials, and content creation. As his journey progressed, it became clear that Lawrence possesses a diverse range of talents that he brings to the creative industry, moving beyond his initial focus on acting.
