Her short film, Fault Line, has been touring the world, including the renowned British Film Institute, Seattle International Film Festival, Mill Valley Film Festival, and the São Paulo International Film Festival, where it competed. This remarkable film has garnered numerous accolades, including "Best Short" at Indie Short Fest: Los Angeles, "Best Female Director" at Tokyo International Short Film Festival, "Best Youth Actress" at Berlin International Art Film Festival, "Best Female Directing" at Stockholm Short Film Festival, and "Best Long Form Short Film" and "Best Performances" at Feedback Female Film Festival.
Himmelvo's debut feature, Treading Water, has also received widespread recognition, earning the "Emerging Talent Award" at Outfest: Los Angeles and being screened at over fifty film festivals across fourteen countries.
