Lauren Roman's early life was marked by a strong sense of family, growing up in North Carolina and Virginia as the daughter of a proud Marine Corps family. Her academic achievements were impressive, earning her a spot as an honor student at Langley High School. At the tender age of 15, she landed her first professional acting job with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, becoming a member of their Traveling Young Players and starring in the touring musical "Footsteps in the Sky".
Her academic pursuits took her to the University of Virginia, where she was part of the prestigious Echols Scholars program and studied philosophy. However, her passion for acting soon led her to relocate to New York City in 1995, where she originated the role of troubled young runaway "Laura Kirk English" on the ABC daytime television program All My Children, starring in the show from 1995-1998.
After a stint in New York, Ms. Roman moved to Los Angeles, where she went on to guest star and take on supporting roles in various TV shows, including "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "The Division", "Roswell", "The David Cassidy Story", "Chicken Soup for the Soul", and "Outreach". After seven years in LA, she returned to her southern roots by relocating to Nashville, TN, where she landed a recurring role in ABC's prime-time hit, "Nashville".
Ms. Roman's film credits include supporting roles in the Nicole Kidman thriller "Stoker" and the inspiring family drama "Grace Unplugged". Now based in Atlanta, she is excited to join Georgia's thriving film and TV industry.
