Laura Huertas Millan is a multifaceted artist, filmmaker, and researcher whose creative endeavors seamlessly converge at the intersection of cinema, contemporary art, and research.
Her cinematic works have garnered significant recognition, with selections in esteemed film festivals such as the Berlinale, Toronto International Film Festival, Rotterdam International Film Festival, New York Film Festival, and Cinéma du Réel, among others. Her films have also received accolades at the Locarno Film Festival, FIDMarseille, Doclisboa, and Videobrasil, to name a few.
Notably, Huertas Millan's work has been the subject of over twenty retrospectives and focus programs worldwide, showcasing her unique cinematic vision at prominent cinematheques, film festivals, and art institutions.
In the realm of visual art, her solo exhibitions have been held at renowned institutions such as the MASP Sao Paulo, Maison des Arts de Malakoff, and Medellin's Modern Art Museum.
