Laura, a talented upright bass player, hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina, before relocating to the United States to pursue her passion for music at the University of Georgia.
As a versatile musician, she is currently an integral part of several esteemed ensembles, including the Athens Tango Project, Broken String Band, and Symphony Orchestra Augusta. Throughout her career, Laura has had the privilege of collaborating with an impressive array of bands and artists, showcasing her adaptability and mastery of diverse musical styles.
Some of her notable performances include backing up the renowned Chilean rock band Catupecu Machu, playing rock music with Layma Azur, and tango music with Las Del Abasto and Rodrigo Vázquez Cuarteto. Additionally, she has contributed to the JEEM "Eramusical Ensamble" Album recording, and shared the stage with the UGA Symphony Orchestra, featuring the renowned banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck, in a performance of the Concerto for Banjo and Symphony Orchestra.
Laura's impressive discography also includes a Naxos label recording of the University Of Georgia Wind Ensemble's Street Song, as well as collaborations with notable artists such as Ben Folds and James Tormé, as part of the Symphony Orchestra Augusta. Furthermore, she has contributed music to the documentary films Eat White Dirt and Athens Rising, solidifying her reputation as a talented and versatile musician.
