Biography

Lau Kar Yung, a renowned figure in the world of kung fu, is the proud grandson of the illustrious Lau Cham, also known as Lau Jaam. Born Lau Ho, Kar Yung is the son of Lau Jaam's second daughter and a nephew to the esteemed Lau Kar Leung and Lau Kar Wing.

From a young age, Kar Yung was fascinated by the art of kung fu, and at just five years old, he began following his mother, Lau Shiu Yee, to learn the family's traditional Hung Ga kung fu style at his grandfather's martial arts school. This marked the beginning of his journey, which would eventually lead him to change his name to "Lau Kar Yung" and join his uncles, Lau Kar Ban and the other Lau brothers.

As the years passed, Kar Yung continued to hone his skills, eventually becoming the Grandmaster of Lau's family and dedicated to spreading the lineage across the globe. His tireless efforts have resulted in the addition of new family members, including Germany's Master Jau and Mexico's Master James Valentino Santi, representing the sixth generation of apprentices.

Through his unwavering dedication and passion for kung fu, Lau Kar Yung has left an indelible mark on the martial arts world, ensuring the continued growth and development of his family's rich cultural heritage.
