Biography of an accomplished individual:

Born to a family of artistic excellence, with his father, H.R. Poindexter, a Tony Award-winning lighting and set designer, and mother, Sue Ann Poindexter, an opera singer, this talented individual's passion for the performing arts was evident from an early age.

He began his acting journey in college, subsequently making his mark in summer stock theatre in his native Texas, performing at the prestigious Dallas Summer Musicals, St. Louis MUNY, Atlanta's Theatre Under the Stars, and The Kenley Players in Ohio.

Upon relocating to Los Angeles, he secured roles with prominent production companies, including Franklin R. Levy and Catalina Production Group, where he worked alongside a young producer named Leslie Moonves. He simultaneously took on roles as an actor, production co-coordinator, and even dabbled in casting direction, 2nd unit direction, and associate producing.

Throughout his illustrious career, he has received numerous accolades, including an Ovation Award for his captivating performance in "Reefer Madness". His impressive track record of nominations continues, with his most recent nod being for co-authoring the rhythm and blues musical, "The Devil You Know".

In addition to his acting and producing pursuits, he is also a skilled musician, having been the lead singer and songwriter for the band "The High Lonesome" in the early 1990s. The band's music, as well as his original compositions, have been featured in various films and television shows.

Currently, he is working on the new Texas Roadhouse Musical "Cadillac Jack's" and continues to produce and develop theatre in both Los Angeles and New York. His most recent credits include serving as an Executive Producer on Broadway's "The Cher Show" and the upcoming "Saved By The Bell, The Musical".
