Lance Tracy, a Seattle-born, Austin-residing producer-writer-director, possesses an extraordinary ability to harmoniously blend commercial concepts with exceptional individuals.
His most recent film, "Relentless", garnered the prestigious "Best Thriller" and "Best Director" awards at its world premiere at the Breckenridge Film Festival. Sundance Film Festival critics also praised his documentary, labeling it an "accomplished film".
With a wealth of experience in high-end marketing and advertising, Tracy has cultivated an international, commercially-driven perspective. Frequently sought after by prominent media conglomerates such as NBC/Universal and Viacom/CBS, he has contributed to the branding of the Sochi and London Olympics, as well as the CBS streaming service, "CBS All Access", and more recently, "Paramount Plus".
Tracy's career began as an in-house director of dramatic films, creating short narrative films that were distributed across 155 countries and 15 languages. This experience allowed him to develop a profound understanding of an international audience, earning him 12 writing and directing awards in the process. He has directed projects in various locations, including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Cambodia, Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico City, Belize, Honduras, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and the United States.
In his free time, Tracy enjoys practicing Hapkido, a Korean martial art, and riding classic motorcycles in Los Angeles, Texas, and the Pacific Northwest. He resides in Austin with his wife and two children.
