Kyoko is a renowned filmmaker, having earned a prestigious Peabody Award for her documentary film, Brakeless, which received widespread acclaim after airing on BBC and PBS. This award-winning documentary was supported by a coalition of prominent broadcasters and organizations, including BBC, ITVS, IKON, NHK, and DR.
Kyoko's cinematic endeavors have also yielded a feature-length documentary, My Atomic Aunt, also known as Beyond the Wave, which was co-produced by an international array of broadcasters, including BBC, NHK, and WDR. This film was backed by several notable grants, including the Sundance Documentary Fund, and has been screened at numerous film festivals globally, garnering a Gold Plaque at the Chicago International Film Festival.
